CATERING ASSISTANT

Pay Range: Scale 2 (£10,167 – £10,370)

Start Date: ASAP

The Role:

We are seeking an outstanding individual to assist as directed, with all aspects of the preparation of food and beverages to the standards required by the school.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • The preparation and simple cooking of food & beverages.
  • Serving customers as required.
  • To undertake all aspects of cleaning equipment, floors, fixtures and fittings, cooking utensils, cutlery, glassware etc. as directed.
  • During service times, to ensure that tables and counters are as clean as reasonably practicable and adequately stocked.
  • To maintain a high standard of personal and general cleanliness and hygiene to comply with statutory and school regulations.

We’re looking for you if you have:

  • Experience of the preparation and cooking of simple food & beverages and serving customers (desired but not essential as training will be provided).
  • Basic level of education.
  • General understanding of the operation of a school.
  • Ability to use kitchen and cleaning equipment.

This post is 25 hours per week, Mon – Fri between 8.45am and 2.30pm as required. 39 weeks per year, term time, plus non-pupil days.

We are seeking an outstanding individual to provide a confidential and personal service to the Deputy Headteacher for Teaching & Learning.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Provide PA support to the Deputy Headteacher to include diary and meeting management, dealing with correspondence, administration support and prioritising and directing of information

• Organise meetings and take minutes if necessary

• Organise training and school events

We are seeking an outstanding individual to improve student’s outcomes and engagement by ensuring the quality of teaching and learning is at least good in the Faculty.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Have teaching skills which lead to excellent results

• Develop and implement teaching and learning strategies throughout the Faculty which raise the quality of teaching and learning of all staff and therefore raise student standards and progress

• Teach a timetable appropriate to the demands of the role and the needs of the school
