Students and parents are welcome into school on Thursday 22nd August 2019 to collect their results from the following times:
Year 11 GCSE Results – from 9am
Year 10 GCSE Results – from 11am
Please note that this will take place in the Lighthouse (school canteen).
HDHS will be holding a fun Year 7 Careers event on Wednesday 26th June 2019.
We believe that students from a young age, should be provided with the key knowledge and skills required for future employment. During the year we run PSHE (Personal, Social, Health Education), Citizenship and Careers events where students are off their normal timetable to attend talks and activities relating to these subjects.
This event will provide students with the opportunity to take part in fun activities while learning key skills and knowledge about careers, including:
- Employment opportunities.
- Personal qualities required for employment.
- How educational subjects link to various job roles.
- Core communication and teamwork skills.
The year 7’s day will be as follows:
Year 7 Careers Assembly & Introduction to the day’s events
|Period 1 & 2||Careers Activities – D band|
|Normal Period 1&2 Lessons|
|Period 3 & 4||Careers Activities – H band|
|Normal Period 3&4 Lessons|
|Period 5||Normal Period 5 Lesson|
|Period 6||Careers Bingo – whole year group|
Sports Day is on 19th July 2019 and we would love you to join us to enjoy this Community event. Arrivals will be from 9.45-10.15am, with the first race at 10.30am. The event will be finished by 12.40pm, when students will be dismissed to begin their summer break.
Again this year it is an all ticket event for safeguarding reasons. If you would like to attend you must apply for a ticket. There are no restrictions on numbers but the ticket can only be used against the person attending.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org giving the subject title as “Sports Day tickets”, stating the number of tickets you would like and the names of each person attending so that the names can be checked against the list we have on the day. This includes any children attending, except for HDHS students.
On the day each Community will have a stand where you can purchase small items with cash. This money will all go straight to the chosen charity of the Communities .
