Year 7 Skills Day – 18th September 2018

Written by Stephanie Laimbeer on . Posted in Parent News, School News

On Tuesday 18th September your son/daughter will be involved in a team building skills day. This is run by an external company ‘The problem solving company’, who come in and set up multiple activities which allow students to work together and build up key skills,  such as problem solving, team building and  independence. These skills are invaluable across the curriculum, helping them to become more effective learners. HDHS staff will be working with the students in small groups throughout the day.

The day will take place on the field, weather permitting, and if not in our hall and gym.  Students will be required to wear full school uniform. However, please do check the weather and send your son/daughter to school with their jumper etc if needed.

This day has been a massive success for the last three years where students really get stuck in and persevere in tricky tasks to find solutions.

If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me on the school number.

Mrs R Good (Teacher of Art/L2L Skills Coordinator)
