The Green Britain trip aims to bring Science, Maths and Technology together to inspire students about renewable technologies and explore how life in Green Britain could be. On Tuesday a group of our A*spire students travelled to the center in Norfolk and saw attractions such as The Greenbird, the worlds fastest wind powered vehicle and a wind turbine blade, famously reported to have been detached by a UFO. They also accessed the turbine, which is the only one in the world with a publicly accessible viewing platform, 67 metres up and offering 360 degree views of the Norfolk countryside.
The viewing platform was designed by Sir Norman Foster, architect of the Gherkin and New Wembley Stadium in London.
