Top crime writer Ruth Dugdall is visiting Harwich & Dovercourt High School on Friday 3rd July 2015, starting at 6.30pm.

This is a free event open to members of the public. If you would like to attend, please contact the school library manager, Andrew Dace, by email, phone or in person at the school. Indoor Football Tournament

The winners of the tournament are Skadoosh (Joe Watt, Keenan Brown ,Alex Eadie, Greg Rodger, Charlie Gueizalar, Joe Hawkins, Adam Strange and Oliver Wright).

Staff team containing Mr St. Clair, Mr Garnham, Mr Wood, Mr Francis and Mr Gillespie will play the winners this Friday time.

All staff and students welcome to watch the Staff Vs Student game 50p entry to Sports Hall.

Lost Property

The PE department have accumulated a large amount of lost property. If your child has lost any items of their PE kit please contact Mrs Brundle on 01255 245460 ex 257 or alternatively tell your child to speak to a member of the PE staff.

i-Openers Competition

The idea of the competition is to write the first paragraph* of an e-book story. (*Your paragraph should be 2 – 4 sentences long).
Make the reader want to read on further by writing a ‘cliff-hanger’ moment. (This is where something exciting or unusual is about to happen, however the outcome or solution is not revealed).
Please email your story entry to andrew.dace@hdhs.org.uk,
with your name and tutor group at the top.
The closing date is Wednesday 1st July 2015.
First prize – the winner will receive a £20 book token.
Second prize – the runner-up will receive a £10 book token.
