Parent Governor Election March 2014

Five candidates were nominated to fill the vacant Parent Governor position at Harwich and Dovercourt High School, and an election process was held.

The closing date for submission of ballot papers was 28 March 2014. A total of 58 ballot papers were received.

After being validated, the ballot papers were opened and counted on 1 April 2014 by Acting Headteacher Miss Lynne Gettings, witnessed by the Chair of Governors, the Clerk to the Governors and the School Business Support Manager.

Results are confirmed as follows:

  • CUFFY, Kelvin 6 votes
  • FENSOM, Kelly 14 votes
  • MYERS, Samantha 6 votes
  • SHEPHERD, Nicholas 21 votes
  • STURGES, Paul 8 votes
  • Spoiled / invalid 3 papers

Mr Nicholas Shepherd is therefore elected to serve a four year term as a Parent Governor at Harwich and Dovercourt High School.
