Healthy Schools
March 20, 2014 hdhsadmin

Harwich and Dovercourt High School has continued its work to maintain its Healthy School status.

There have been several foci over the last 2 years that have been supported the schools work
relating to the well-being of the student community.

To improve the health and well-being further, over the coming months, we will be looking at specific areas to target for development. One of these will have a whole school focus; another will be aimed at a specific group within school who are identified as requiring extra support.

Our Youth Health Champions will continue to run health awareness events over the coming year.

Health and wellbeing covers a wide range of areas, it is not necessarily just about physical health it can be mental and social
well-being.

It is important that any work in school is aimed specifically at the needs of our students and not necessarily what might be happening nationally (they may be the same).

Data is available to help guide us but we would like feedback from the wider community about issues you think are a priority to improve any risky behaviours, health and well – being of Harwich and Dovercourt’s young people.
