Staff and students took to the school field on Friday 21st March to run a mile for Sport Relief.

Harwich and Dovercourt High School has continued its work to maintain its Healthy School status.
There have been several foci over the last 2 years that have been supported the schools work
relating to the well-being of the student community.
A group of pupils at the school participated in ITV Anglia’s ‘First World War School Report 2014’ Project recently.
Harwich and Dovercourt High School have recently had 18 students achieve the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh (dofe) award, which is recognised as the world’s leading achievement award. The students are the first to receive the award from the school. They travelled to Colchester Townhouse to receive their award, along with other young adults who had achieved their award in Tendring. Before the students receive their award they have to complete 4 sections over a 3-6 month period; volunteering, skill, physical and the expedition section.
The recent Rotterdam revision trip was a great success. All students worked really hard on their workbooks and had a great time.
A real highlight was the Euromast Tower with a spectacular view of the city at night. Behaviour was excellent throughout by all students and their attitudes were fantastic.
GREASE was the word for Harwich and Dovercourt High School students who performed a spectacular version of the classic musical three nights in a row.
