The Big Bang Fair is a UK wide programme led by Engineering UK to inspire future scientists and engineers and to encourage 11-18 year olds to take part in Science Technology Engineering and Math subjects. The event at the University of Essex will see up to 40 schools across Essex, Suffolk and East London visit our Colchester Campus to take part in a series of lectures, workshops and a visit to our interactive market place.
Among the activities to encourage young people to study the subjects will be demonstrations of crowd control, as featured on Dara O Briain’s Science Club, coral reef research and climate change, and how our brains function. Our annual Computer Science and Electronic Engineering Lectures for GCSE and A-Level students will also be part of the event.
A few places are still available, visit wisepay for details.
